Hey everyone, The Altcoin Investor here 👋🏻

I hope you enjoyed last week’s issue “The Crypto Money Cycle”
Today I want to talk about my watchlist for the weeks ahead & why I think you should take Tron seriously.
Let’s dive in👇
Why I like TRON
In Western countries, it seems like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and other blockchains are the only ones worth considering.
But there are over 4.5 billion people that live in Asia.
It appears that these folks prefer alternative networks — such as Tron.
Here are some numbers:
The network is currently number 1 amongst public blockchains in terms of daily active users.
It's number two in terms of transactions. And number three in terms of revenues.
57 million unique wallet addresses interacted with the Tether stablecoin on Tron over the last year.
Tron was responsible for nearly 4 trillion in Tether transfer volumes in 2023 — nearly half the volume of Mastercard transactions last year.

My Watchlist for the weeks ahead :
These are the tokens that I’m paying attention to:
Ethereum → Dencun Upgrade is less than 30d away + ETH ETF's potential approval date is in May. More here.
Blur → Blast (the L2 created by Blur’s team) will make big announcement next weeks. When compared to other L2 chains, Blast stands out primarily for its native yield feature. While most L2s focus on scalability and transaction speed, Blast adds an additional layer of value by enabling assets to generate yield natively.
Matic → Polygon plans to introduce the blockchain aggregation layer AggLayer in February, focusing on unifying liquidity. AggLayer will allow developers to connect blockchains using zero-knowledge proofs and settle transactions with Ethereum. The aggregation layer will be a crucial component of Polygon 2.0 and will aggregate all ZK proofs from connected chains
Starknet (launching today) → Starknet operates as a Layer 2, providing scale and Ethereum-level security by producing STARK proofs off-chain, and then sends those proofs on-chain.
